I never saw the movie actually...I also wonder how I got downpooted, like people didn't get the connection or just dumb bots or whatever? Not that I care it's just an odd thing to get pooted....
Good call. In the movie the Russians blow up the Super Bowl in Baltimore instead of ME terrorists blowing up the SB in Denver. Which is ridiculous. If B'more got nuked, how could you tell?. lol
And yeah the PC switch away from having the Religion of Peace (TM/R etc) portrayed negatively was a prime reason I didn't bother.
Oh yeah and "the books are always better" - while I can think of a couple (Blade Runner, 2001) that are exceptions, those are very rare - and with Clancy books in particular you would miss all the tons of explanation and stuff that make them worthwhile besides the actual plot.
