That begs the question: why don’t you just change the law?
The answer is obvious: they don’t have the support of the people.
So this is an end-run around congress.
Which is an end-run around the citizen’s of this nation who still believe in nations & sovereignty.
Two important questions follow:

- To what end?

Migrant is an accurate term IMHO.
"Illegal immigrant" is an oxymoron.
Immigration is a LEGAL process. If someone is an immigrant, they're legal. Until you go through that legal process, if you're without a certain ID that entitles you to be in the country, you're a migrant, illegal alien, or trespasser.
