We've decided to try to have more children and just realized our attempts were successful.
My oldest are 9, 11 and 12 and they got whatever the recommended childhood vaccinations are (mumps, measles, etc). I'm unaware of any issues the previous vaccinations may have caused, they have always been healthy.
After what has happened, I'm aware and concerned about all vaccinations. Is the general consensus here that all vaccinations are potentially dangerous? Can we safely avoid all vaccinations of any kind, including the common childhood vaccines?
None that you can't handle. The first is getting a doctor that accepts unvaccinated children because doctors receive bonuses when children are completely vaccinated so they try to require it. Other than that there are schools...but many states have religious exemptions. My unvaccinated kids attended some public school and college in Georgia with no problem. Also the doctors/midwives that delivered my kids at home (Illinois) did not care that I chose not to vaccinate...God always has the answers...
Do all, or most, hospitals make newborn vaccinations mandatory?
My children had hospital births with their babies and most did not vaccinate but you have to be careful what they do with your baby when they have the baby. I believe they give a hepatitis shot to newborns which is unnecessary...so you would have to check what they give to newborn babies...but yes you can CHOOSE no vaxes and also do rooming in to keep an eye on the baby and then get out of the hospital as soon soon as possible. I do not believe anyone can force you to vaccinate your baby...but they sure try hard to sell you on them and I believe some do things surreptitiously. There are NO safe vaccines...NONE...for anyone.
