I've been reflecting on something that is intangible, yet ever so real. The massive oppressive collective that seeks total power & control, is filled with deception, hates God, loves death, and has infiltrated every facet of our lives. I'm calling it, Behemoth. This is the beast of Job, known as the "primeval chaos-monster" - and somehow this describes this collective entity so well. Behemoth surrounds us - it has consumed so much, and it feels like we cannot defeat it.
It truly is surreal, as we watch this monster of self-destruction double down and triple down. Pop culture, corporations and government working in sync towards nefarious ends. And thus we turn to God, through whom all things are possible.
Release the kracken
Sometimes I think about the will, the planning, the pure unadulterated evil that it would take to try to pull this off and I almost can't believe it is true. Then I look at the rest of the world and I realise that they are looking in at us in the West in total horror as this ghastly plan is playing out.
There's the serpent in Genesis 3. God said, he would eat dust (man is made out of dust). By Revelation 12, he had grown into a great red dragon, described as the ancient serpent, he who is called the Devil (slanderer) and Satan, he who deceives the whole inhabited earth. In between is Job. I've always thought Leviathan was the growing serpent that becomes the dragon, because "a flame comes out of his mouth," like dragons. In any case, these are "spiritual forces of evil in the heavenlies." The "beasts" in Daniel are the earthly counterparts, the ruling systems. The evil commercial/political/religious system is overthrown in Revelation 17 &18.
