We don't know when it will happen, but we do know it will happen. Eventually, the 'plan' will come to fruition. And I'm sure we all want to be at our healthiest and best when that happens.
I was thinking that perhaps we could have an ongoing thread where those interested would post their routines and even questions about how each of us can be our healthiest. I'm sure there are those here who are bodybuilders, for instance. Perhaps they could post about what they do, what they eat, etc. There are probably those who want to get in better shape. Perhaps they could post questions specific to their concerns and the frens could answer.
For instance, I would love to know what my fellow frogs are doing on a daily or weekly basis to keep fit.
Exercising? (What kind)
Eating a certain way? (what, specifically)
Taking supplements? (which ones)
Let's help each other get as strong as we can, physically and mentally. And if people are interested in this idea and would like to partake, I will eventually post some info about our spiritual health, as well. What do you say, frogs? Are you ready to get in the best shape of your life? Let's gooo!
Keto diet, only eat meat and some vegetables, less than 20g of carbs per day, 2 meals a day within 6-8 hrs of one another. Works great for me
Wow. How long have you been doing that? Did you have an adjustment period or was it easy for you from the start? That's very low carb. Thanks for the post.
3 years, though I blow it every time I drink beer, but when I get back to it I feel incredible. No more tingling legs, no post-meal tiredness, way less ache and pains, clarity of mind etc, digestion is better, energy is better, and its actually cheaper too making my own meals and avoid all the boxed stuff or restaurants. Id recommend it to anybody. To start off, just eat as much steak and eggs as you can, then when you crave food again later (the blood sugar crashes) just eat more steak and eggs, maybe add some sauteed veggies or whatnot. Before long you just stop craving carbs (if you're diabetic, you'll have to be more cautious and ask your doc)
I wish I could follow that advice to the T. I have developed an allergy to eggs, which is very inconvenient, to say the least. I love them and they're so versatile. And red meat usually hurts my stomach, but the other day I made the best steak I'd eaten in years and it didn't hurt my tummy. (I'm a bit of a disaster when it comes to cooking steak) but this time it came out great. If I could manage to do that a few times a week, or more, I'd be very happy. What type of steak to you eat and how to you prepare it?
The trick for steaks is to buy a New York strip, as thick as you can. Preferably salt it many hours ahead but 20 mins is fine if you’re in a rush. Add garlic and pepper, let it get to room temp if you can as well. Cast iron, medium high heat with olive oil. 2-3 mins first side, 1-2 mins on the flip side. Add butter to the cast iron and stick that baby right in the over at 450. Wait another 6-8 mins and it’ll be perfect every time.
