He'd heard from Durbin that McCarthy INSISTED on making the deal based on two years not one. So Bannon asks Eli Crane as one of the Republicans "did McCarthy insist on this?" Crane - "Yes. Because McCarthy believes the party will be weaker a year from now so I want to push it out 2 years."

What does McCarthy know about what they will do to Trump in the next year???

I don't think so. We already knew what he was. Everyone did.

I think McCarthy is there to win the war, not the battles. Trump for sure has an end goal in mind.

I'd suggest this "cave" by McCarthy is to be followed by something pushed that's very Trumpian. It'll of course start with the freedom caucus pushing it to keep McCarthy "clean"
