I love that spirit and I'm sorry you've struggled. It's too bad this thread was shut down for not being 'q related.' It seemed a lot of people liked it. Oh well.
I get the moderator's reasoning. However, in my opinion, every one of us have been called to fight the spiritual battle and we cannot do so if we are not in good physical and psychological health.
As for my health struggles... I developed a rare kidney disease shortly after the birth of my child. The American Medical Association's recommended treatment would have ensured that I was on dialysis and developed heart disease within 5 years. I said no to that and chose to do holistic healing. 11 years later, my kidneys are pretty good overall, though I have to be careful or else I relapse.
The realization that the American Medical Association was trying to make me sicker was my "great awakening" moment. Had it not been for this, I probably would have been a sheep. I believe that God uses bad things to protect us from worse things, and this is one of my examples. And now I have wisdom that I can share with others. :)
I'm very glad to hear that you were led to distrust their recommendations and forged out on your own! That's great. God is good! And I agree about being in top physical and psychological health. And I do believe being so is q-related. On top of that, with so many, many, MANY non-q related posts on a daily basis that are not removed, I thought the reasoning was flawed and frankly, suspicious. Particularly since another mod had actually stickied the first thread!
Thank you. That is a lot of great information!
My own health has been a giant struggle. I've learned a lot (mostly the hard way) and I'm happy to help others.
