From the read, it sounds basically like the best way to expose the existence of the Cabal was to crank the heat to max and cause the boiling to occur so quickly that the frogs didn't die from the slow boil, they jumped out of the pot. This has the Cabal scrambling to regain control and either salvage the initial plan or try something different. My thinking on this is that the Cabal carefully and meticulously planted the right people in the right places and controlled the narrative carefully according to a well laid out plan. Once this plan had been disrupted, they have scrambled on so many different fronts that their minions have panicked and exposed themselves even more fully. I think the reason that they are royally fucked is that now many of us know of their existence and their plans. No matter what happens, either White Hats win, or we hunt them all down in a Hot war. They have avoided being detected unless they had massive control over the circumstances and could manipulate whomever had detected their existence. I believe their 16 year plan was thought out over years, if not decades and they had poured massive resources into crafting it to perfection. Once disrupted, they are scrambling to salvage what they can. I do agree with other posters that the information sharing among the peasants has created an apex moment for them and they have a limited timeline to seize absolute control. The internet and social media have allowed us to expand our individual awareness and this is a genie that can only be put back in the bottle by complete destruction of the internet. No matter how it goes, I will never go back to sleep again.
