Without glucose, you die. Half of sucrose (table sugar) is glucose with the other half being fructose which the body processes to glucose.
Apples? Oranges? Bananas? Grapes?
Fructose breaks down slower than sucrose.
It wasn't fruit that left me bedridden for a week last month. It was a bad slice of ham. Food poisoning.
