... and yet, ZERO evidence that ANYONE ELSE got sick.
In more than a year.
While she was out and about in public.
Where is the EVIDENCE that SHE is a risk to anyone else?
Where are all the dying, sick people who came in direct contact with her ... for MORE THAN A YEAR?
POOF
No evidence needed to lock someone up, it seems.
Just a "health expert" (as if ...) making a claim, and a man in a black dress issuing an order for other men in costumes with guns and badges to round her up and lock her away.
"She will be housed in a room specially equipped for isolation, testing, and treatment. We are hopeful she will choose to get the life-saving treatment she needs to treat her tuberculosis," he added. He also thanked local law enforcement who "supported public health with this necessary intervention."
IOW: We are going to imprison her "for her own good," even though she has not harmed anyone else (and there is no evidence that she is a threat to anyone else -- other than what some self-described "expert," who has not done any real research on the subject, tells us).
Most of the comments support imprisoning the lady. And yet she was active in public places for over a year since the order without anyone else becoming infected.
Tuberculosis is reportedly a painful disease and an awful way to die, but is it really that contagious? Based on her activity, it sounds like it wasn't. It's been gone from our society for so long that few people have direct knowledge.
I encourage anons to check through the comments over on Twitter. They're quite rational and compare TB policy to that of Polio, HIV and COVID, analyze the outcomes of her not quarantining (nothing happened), and now have a healthy distrust of authority due to COVID policy now being perfectly inverted from what it was a couple years ago under nearly identical circumstances.
Some people are awake. But there are a lot of commenters who want her locked up. Even a bunch who pile on and say that it should've been done with Covid. Idiots like that are dangerous to everyone.
"The fact it's been a year and there isn't a huge rash of tb outbreaks has me questioning why bother. It seems like she isn't contagious since she wouldn't stay away from people."
Tuberculosis can remain latent in the body for a long time (years) before the person actually shows any signs of the disease, so it's possible she infected people without them appearing to be sick, or even showing positive on a TB test. Some people may have the bacteria but never show signs of the disease. A weakened immune system could make the disease progress (which we know a lot of people have now). I'm not advocating locking her up, but I wonder why she wouldn't want to be treated. Tuberculosis is an absolutely horrible disease, especially once it starts affecting your bones.
Tuberculosis is pretty easily treatable with antibiotics, which is why we don't see it often in the developed world. So to me, it seems she is really either uneducated about TB and how easy it is to treat nowadays, or she has some sort of mental illness, or she wants to intentionally spread the disease.
And yet ...
There is ZERO evidence presented that ANYONE ELSE ever got sick from being around her.
Yeah, there is a reason for that ...

They have been chasing her for more than a year.
She took a city bus to a casino ...

SHOW. ME. THE. EVIDENCE. THAT. SHE. HAS. HARMED. ANYONE.

Exactly.
Zero evidence of actual harm to anyone else.

Did any of them notice that the actual OUTCOME of her not being quarantined was that NOBODY ELSE GOT SICK?

Excellent!
Her papers were not in order.
why does this remind me of the Elisa Lam case
