interesting point you bring up...why, exactly, is it called "makeup"? my objection for decades! why do we teach young women that they are not perfectly beautiful as they are, and do not need to "MAKE UP FOR" any perceived deficit they envision??? guys are fine just as they are, no need to make up for any deficit, but young women must "make up" for not looking like kardashian?? to me it's philosophically and psychologically damaging to girls/women's psyches...imo
Women focus on their personal appearance because men are attracted to the visual. Men focus on their personal success because women are attracted to confidence. I don’t think it was a conspiracy to hurt women, I think it’s the natural order. And if women stop focusing on their appearance (no make up, no jewelry, no attractive clothing, no hairstyles, not shaving their legs, not shaving their armpits), they are going to start looking like dudes.
I agree with this. And I think that there is a way to tastefully allow yourself to look beautiful, without having to pour it all on. That’s not just make up - but clothing and general overall personal care.
I agree, I am a makeup person for sure. I don't view it as a way to hide myself or be something I'm not. I see it as enhancing what I already have, and creative expression tbh. One of the things that calms me down is putting on a full face of makeup. Also, I wish the OP posted which brands are woke.

You are both spot-on. There seems to be a recent trend around here, to the effect that "women who use makeup are just Woke sluts."
I expect this kind of sourpussed puritainism from feminists,
