It was a sleeper hit that hardly anyone had expected to take off when it first came out. I ended up writing one of the walkthroughs and skill guides for the game back then, barely comprehending all those little details in the plot at the time. Also there was some controversy when someone pointed out that the Twin Towers were missing from the future NYC skyline in the game a year before 9/11 had happened.
You could just download and play the game. It's like $5 on Steam. There's a whole series and every game in it is absolutely worth playing. The whole series is a red pill factory.
Also, this is the premise of Resident Evil, too, if you're into zombie games.
Deus Ex?
Man that game was a huge red pill. Bilderberg, Trilateral, CFR, etc all exposed. Crazy. Loved it as a teen
