The flares are a bit of an odd detail though. If they had shot a missile or missiles and they wanted to hide it, a flares excuse could work to throw any eyewitness accounts into doubt.
i hate to say it, but the official explanation makes more sense than that. crash site is very small and contained, not consistent with debris from an air to air missile.
to me it looks more like a normal crash site that's been scoured and torched..
Ill agree that the plane crashed and it wasnt shot down. There is debris at the site including metal and what looks like a leather bag of some sort if we are to believe the pics in the tweet are genuine.
The possibility that it was remotely piloted still exists. The family of the NRA official being on it ups the weirdness factor. The loop over its destination and return by a nearly reciprocal flight path over Washington puts the lie to the passed out pilot talk. Sonic booms are loud and do shake the ground but was there really a need to go supersonic? You would only do so if you were in a trailing position with tens of miles between craft and by that time the Cessna should have been long gone from the area of the WH, the danger passed, which is the reason to scramble in the first place.

Nothing adds up.
