I personally do not know what will happen to the entire Crypto market, but it seems it's about to be heavily shaken up in the coming weeks.
Reddit is killing off all 3rd party apps within the next week or two. I expect a mass exodus of users there shortly after. Reddit is by far the most popular place to go for crypto news.
Binance is now being sued by the SEC. They are the #1 crypto exchange, and we all know how dirty CZ and Tether are.
The perfect storm is now coming for Crypto.
Let's see if any coins/platforms survive it. I know many here are dug into the sand on both sides, I think we are getting that answer soon on what will happen with Crypto, and it's potential role in the future.
I personally think a few will remain, but I can also see it going the other way too, it all goes POOF.
Can someone explain to me in 1-2 sentences, what this 'reddit 3rd party app killing' thing is?
They are changing up their API, I believe with hefty fees attached, so 3rd party apps can no longer connect. I rarely lurk on that platform, so I do not know all the details.
Further details:
The actual Reddit app sucks and makes using the site awkward.
Worse, Reddit is likely going to be removing a lot of bots, and this includes auto moderation bots. They are also going to be hiding all NSFW posts on the official app. This will make it much more difficult for Reddit’s mods to remove dangerous posts.
One of the mods of the Videos sub specifically said that it will allow child sex slavery rings to stay up on the site, as well as scammers and porn bots.
Thank you for adding more details to it. I do know many never use the official Reddit app, or even web platform. It's mostly 3rd party apps being used.
I can never get any Reddit apps to work properly, including Reddit's own. It's ridiculous.
