The main thing that comes to mind is cloud seeding with smoke particles. It could possibly keep people from planting or make seeds too wet to germinate. So Yes same goal, kill the crop production.
This is a pretty natural occurrence in Canada though. This time of year is always wildfire season. There are even some plant species dependant on fire to release their seeds

I think that they are attempting to move people back into more populated areas. I have no sauce, yet I know these were set. I survived through the horrific fires during the Summer of Love—oops I mean hate in the Northwest. Had to evacuate. Many people posted surveillance video of the mostly peaceful protesters setting fires with Molotov cocktails.

Foggy everywhere around me, smokes covering the sun, and it smelled like chemicals or plastics burning.
Yes the smell here in CT was incredible.
Then rain storms and hail out of nowhere (fire up that HAARP!)
The thing that’s getting me is the blotchy residue all over my vehicle! YUM!

You could def see the smoke and haze big time here in ct/ny and the sun became bright orange and cast an orange haze like sunset all day.
The smell was the giveaway also tons of blotchy specs all over vehicles/presumably everywhere/in the lungs
...several of my neighbors are complaining about difficulty breathing...
