Circuses for the WEAK. The weak among us can't confront reality of what's happening and they need to escape...at least that's what people still watching this bs have told me.
They just CAN'T give it up. Either because of the religious aspect of it (very much akin to religion with these people), family tradition and they're stuck participating because family/friends gather around the sportsball shindig or they're just not able to come up with anything else on God's green earth to do with their time.
My take is...if it's on TV, it's shit. From "programs to products" and everything in between. It's not for me and my kin. It's like food coupons. Good food ir food you should be eating, never has a coupon and hardly ever goes on sale.
Yeah, good take. I don't watch TV at all and haven't for decades. I'm a documentary junky though.
