Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evoloving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
This is an informative video on POTASSIUM by Dr. Berg...99mg. of potassium is not a very high dose at all...there are a lot of things associated with low K2 and the balance of electrolytes in the body (which..there are underlying causes of hypokalemia)...so you should read as much as you can about it so that when your doctor gives you your bloodwork results you have an understanding of the issues...I hope you get your body in balance...it really does suck to not feel well...hope you get well soon...

Dr. Berg was a great warrior during 2020 hysteria, put out lots of good info on big pharma and gov't corruption.
Very informative video, thanks.
Thank you friend. I have been on high blood pressure medication with the water pill for about 5 years now. I have 'never' had this problem. I did start off with a blood pressure pill called Mepropatol or something like that where it doesn't cause you to urinate all the time. But it seems instead of me (peeing) out what was unneeded, it put fluid around my heart so I have to take a water pill with Losartan. But finding the fluid caused by the medication was a Godsend as they found out I have a very fast heartrate which I now have to take a medication called Verapamil for. So it worked out. Funny how a person doesn't know these things until they are much older because I didn't go to the doctor like I should have.
I took my husband off Verapamil because it interacts with so many other drugs and I wanted him to be able to take Ivermectin if he got covid. I think you may have been on metoprolol...I took that very short term years ago because my heart was skipping beats...got off of that pretty quickly and you have to be careful to slowly decrease...but all is well now...
I am 72 and only take vitamins, herbs, supplements and use many alternative remedies. I suffer from some of the same things as you but I always use alternative things to deal with issues...the more you read...the more you learn and knowledge is power...my doctor is OK with whatever I do because he respects my knowledge of alternative healthcare and respects my choices...
Dr. Berg has many great videos and he is one of the most intelligent men I know....I would just encourage you to read to the best of your ability about any drugs you take and their side effects and also any conditions you have and conventional and alternative treatments (if you want to be off drugs)...it is certainly a journey but it is very rewarding to be in charge of your own healthcare...especially as you get older...God bless you and yours...
Bless you my friend. I am 63 and not only me but my husband is suffering leg cramps. I told him what I saw on your video and not just the potassium and or salads etc, but that they have an electrolyte powder that can be used for his so called, 'Charley Horses.' Then he asked, "Well wouldn't a Gatorade do just as well?" So he may have hit upon something. God bless.
Don't forget when you have symptoms of something you want to look at the overall context of what else your body is telling you...especially as it pertains to any vitamin/mineral deficiencies...I would not take Gatorade because of the sugar even though it contains electrolytes and I wouldn't take sugar free because I do not like chemical sweeteners...health and nutrition are very complex and sometimes doing something like starting off taking a good multi vitamin/mineral works wonders. Adding D/K, magnesium and C is also very smart. I find that supplementing with some of the most important vitamins/minerals has corrected some of the disease states I have experienced. I also very much suggest NAC which I have taken since I had covid....a great amino acid with LOTS of great benefits...
