I believe donald trump will not run for president as a republican. desantis or someone else will be the republican candidate instead... however I believe donald trump WILL run for president as a 3rd party candidate.
donald trump is the only person alive right now who even has the slightest chance of winning as a 3rd party candidate. and if a 3rd party candidate wins the election, people could finally realize they don't HAVE to vote for the lesser of two evils anymore. it would be a chance to do away with the awful 2 party system we have now.
of course, all of this is just a prediction, and it likely will not happen this exact way, but it was a thought I had recently and figured I'd share it all with you and see what you all think.
The judicial branch decides what is, and is not constitutional, not us, not congress critters. Hit Shiff with the censure + fine. If he's got a problem with the fine, then he can ask (beg) the judicial branch to decide on the matter. Even if the courts would so happen to rule in his favor on the fine, the censure would still stand.
Dipshit weakling republican congressmen do not get to pretend that they suddenly care about justice, the constitution, our nation, and the rule of law, now, after all the bullshit they have allowed the radical left to get away with. That "but muh fine is unconstitutional" excuse that they are trying to sell the public ain't gonna work. Their lying, double-talking bullshit comes out like diarrhea now, and the public knows it. This is just another failure of the republican party leadership to add onto a decades long list of miserable failures. They are weak, ineffective, and worse than useless. The party needs to be demolished.
Congress also has the power to instruct the Judiciary to not accept any appeal. This is a little known power of the Legislative branch: give instruction to the Judiciary about how to handle cases in review.
That's interesting. I've never heard that before. Where in the constitution does it state that?
It is tricky to find. Section III (Supreme Court), section 2, paragraph 2: "In all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, and those in which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction. IN ALL THE OTHER CASES BEFORE MENTIONED [not just in this paragraph], the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, WITH SUCH EXCEPTIONS, AND UNDER SUCH REGULATIONS AS THE CONGRESS SHALL MAKE." (emphasis added) Appellate jurisdiction, not original. So, in other words, the Roe vs. Wade issue could have been resolved (I think) by Congress regulating the Supreme Court to never again hear such challenges to States' Rights, or to direct them on how to interpret the law or facts. Such regulation could not be rescinded by any future decision of the Supreme Court. At any rate, it is a power I cannot recall the Congress ever exercising.
Disgusting. So willing to toss your values to the curb for an emotional fix.
"Disgusting"? Nothing at all disgusting about forcing a court challenge. That's called fighting- something the republican party of cowards, and losers know nothing at all about.
What is truly disgusting is the fact that people would even consider using the eighth amendment (https://constitutioncenter.org/the-constitution/amendments/amendment-viii) to defend Adam Schiff. There is a son-of-bitch who attempted to remove our commander in chief by accusing him of treason, and election rigging by using evidence fabricated by his allies. There is no such thing as a punishment too harsh for what Schiff has done to our nation. The eight amendment does not apply, and you should be ashamed for even considering that idea, based on $16 million dollar fine. The fine is well over $10 million short of the cost of the Muller investigation, alone.
And, as far as the 27th amendment (https://victoriasconstitutionsimplified.weebly.com/27-amendments.html) I don't know what the hell you're smoking, but I don't see how that amendment can stop the legislative branch from applying rules to its own members.
