John Astor tried to get a seat on a lifeboat, citing his wife's pregnancy. He was denied permission to board the lifeboat by Second Officer Lightoller (who survived on an overturned boat.) Astor demanded Lightoller's name and rank as though he intended to make trouble for Lightoller if he had survived.
