That or someone made it rather clear to the Unions that this job had a set timetable that must be followed. Or they’ll get State/Fed investigators sniffing around asking questions the Union leaders probably don’t want asked.
They probably got lucky and had suitable parts already made. Drop them in place with a crane and pave the deck and your done.
No permit hold-ups, triple time pay, around the clock work... And also probably allowed open bid
You'd be surprised how much we can get done without the red tape and palm greasing.
