I was watching the ADSB 30 minutes ago and noticed two R-135 planes were flying at 2200 and 2500 feet, one lead and one following. They were maybe six miles from me so didn't see them.

That's LOW for big four engine jet planes. Even though they were only doing 200 knots the fuel burn must have been amazing.

I watched for about 50 miles and they remained in trail at that level. No helicopters observed around them.
