It's possible anytime someone guarantees anonymity that they are secretly logging user info somewhere, but it's "the answer" right now. Maybe in 5 or 10 years someone will break a story saying the nsa tracks all Tor navigation and always has, so everyone bails and a new solution is found.
I downloaded Tor once and to be honest it was not user friendly compared to regular web browsers. I cant believe anyone would use it just for the heck of it
The fact that it's not user friendly is a good thing and probably part of its core function anyway.
People should not be trying to go deep or dark aimlessly unless they are working with law enforcement or a group that is working with law enforcement.
There were people who were investigating into Pizzagate alongside me that got spooked while using TOR and nuked all their accounts and backed out.
Well afaik it's not malware or illegal to have. It just isnt something people have in lieu of a normal browser and dont know what they're sitting on
