This is a double edged sword topic. While I believe that there are cases where euthanasia is a blessing for terminally ill patients that are enduring extreme pain, this can easily be misused. As is oftentimes the case, a valuable tool can be turned into an awful weapon. The only person that should be able to make the decision is the patient, but it must be regulated by strict laws that prevent abuse by simply suicidal patients. The decision should also be reviewed by a panel of advocates before confirmation. The idea of suicide is a permanent solution, therefore the reasons must not be a temporary problem.
