A large part of my job is research and analysis, including statistical research. Now, please take my words with a pinch of salt as there are people far more experienced in performing statistical analysis on elections than I. My analysis projects are typically not focused on election data.
However, my work was the result of many hours of analyzing numerous data points and I was able to get a couple of apolitical & educated analysts to look over my work and verify that my methodology was sound.
As best I can tell, the only states that President Trump might have lost are:
Hawaii
Vermont
New York
Massachusetts
Rhode Island
Maryland
That's it. He won every other state and the vast majority he won comfortably. He even won California. Not by a blowout, but he won it.
As to the states I listed that President Trump might have lost, New York & Rhode Island are really close. Close enough that he might have actually won them.
Hawaii, Vermont, Mass & Maryland were close but a slight edge to Mashed Potato Brains.
This was a popular vote blowout that exceeded even the 1984 election.
Not sure what you want me to take from this, TPSM?
Although as an aside, I did use that link for some of the data in my analysis, specifically the majority of Americans supposedly voting by mail instead of in person.
