Not to be crass, but no, we're not missing a bigger picture here. This is a WEF and other agencies tool for submission. It consolidates their power. It consolidates control. It creates subscription services. It cripples movement.

And honestly I take musk at his word that he created tesla because every other car maker made their EVs ugly as fuck.
