I caught the 12:05 matinee... I was amazed at how well behaved everyone was. The theater was literally silent throughout. Not the usual people coming and going for piss and popcorn, but everyone was attentive the entire film.
My main reason for going rather than waiting for it to be released - was primarily to do my duty of getting the word out to the mainstream, given this movie has been delayed for 5 years. MSM didn't want to touch it with a stick because it no doubt hits too close to their Funtime.
I didn't think it was necessarily an extraordinary film production. It was a cross between a documentary and I'd say an average action movie. But again, the movie was VERY POWERFUL when you shake it all down.
I thought it was a clever move focusing on Colombia/Hispanic people given the population increase in recent years in the US. Most Hispanics I've met, legal or not, are hard working, God fearing Christians. I think it's important that they also get the word out.
The other reason was... I wanted to gauge people's reactions to the film. Now when the lights were on, I'd say it was 90% white people (no blacks) and several either had maga, trump, jesus or a patriotic Tshirt on, so I'm not convinced it was a true cross section of our town.
There weren't any outbursts of tears, but you could hear a few of the ladies crying and sniffling. During the last 10 min of the film , there was a VERY heavy emotional "vibration" in the air. It was thick...you could just feel the heaviness right in your heart - like anxiety in your upper chest.
When the credits rolled only about 15 out of 100 people got up and left. Everyone else stayed put until we heard the "special message".
I think many of you have followed the trafficking thing in great detail and depths over the past decade and have seen and read some very horrific things. While the movie only makes suggestions regarding some of the bad parts of pedo/sex exploitation and trafficking, I don't think I would add any more details in the film to that end, simply because it would probably be TOO MUCH for most people to take. Even I felt that heavy sadness towards the end, completely aware I was watching a movie...
All in all, it's a very powerful message and I'd recommend it to everyone, simply because it runs so deep and hits so close to our hearts (children) - and we've got so much more to get through on this topic that it's a solid step in the right direction.
Please do your part by seeing this movie and bring awareness to those who are deeply asleep. Thank you.
Basically my same experience yesterday
Just piggybacking off the top comment for people to see this: Sound of Freedom 2 is coming out per Jim and will be regarding Haiti. There will be multiple movies coming out.

Interesting...
I went to see it last night. Definitely not your "summer feel-good" movie but extremely well done. I pray that a lot of people see it and wake up to the evil that we've all heard/known about here for years. The message at the end points out that many people are uncomfortable hearing it but knowing about it is the only way we can fight it. I'm going to recommend that all of my friends go see it.
Not in any theaters within 500 miles of NYC. Wonder why.
You're not looking right. Plugging in Manhattan zip, there's a HUGE list of theaters playing it in and around the city.

I used fandango and it defaulted me to Buffalo NY. I missed that. Ill buy tickets in NYC.
Not true, I saw it in the Adirondacks yesterday, and it is in Central NY, too. Upstate.
