In 1976 my 23 year old sister was diagnosed with schizophrenia after she had her first child....after she had been to 2 mental institutions we took her to an Orthomolecular Psychiatrist and with mega doses of B3 was able to lead a normal life until she died of breast cancer in 1992...it definitely works...
My husband’s mother was schizophrenic. He struggles with alcoholism and there is research suggesting a link with b3 deficiency for both as you probably know. This research has apparently been out there since 1950’s. Makes me sick.
I am so thankful you commented. My husband is willing to check it out but I am wary of being too optimistic. Seems almost too good to be true. As an aside, my son struggled with migraines when he was younger and they found out he had an off the charts magnesium deficiency. They mega dosed him and it did the trick. Makes you wonder how much of this is so much simpler than they want us to know.
There is a connection between alcoholism and B3 deficiency...we had a big discussion on it on GAW quite a while back...Dr. Hoffer opened a practice in New York and has written several books....he is dead now but his work continues...definitely look him and his work up...mega doses of B3 can alleviate alcohol addiction...the research you alluded to earlier was done by Abram Hoffer...

Yes I read Dr. Abram Hoffer's book "How to Live With Schizophrenia" published in the 50's in the 70's and that is how I discovered OP...
