I also think Jack is either flipped, or was possibly playing deep cover. If he was put in place at Twitter to forward the agenda of Darpa, etc, then how much control did he really have.
FWIW, I personally think Jack is on the winning side.
I think a lot of these tech guys were just nerds who were being blackmailed by the intelligence services.
Doesn’t matter. Plus, nerds can be vindictive & evil too. He was willing to do whatever he was told to stay in the Club. He is just trying to save himself from the inevitable.
