I remember taking my kids to the pediatrician’s office and they were asked if there were any guns in the house and if they wore helmets when bike riding. I immediately confronted the nurse and told her the gun issue was none of her damn business and that Illinois has no helmet law, so why ask that question? Her reply was these were standard questions give to all their patients. I told her it was an invasion of privacy and refused to answer any question that did not concern the health of my children. She said no one had EVER complained before…that did not surprise me. And this happened 30+ years ago!!!

Yeah seriously!! I’ve had them ask about guns in the house before too. I questioned it. It kinda gives me -data collecting- vibes.
