Ha! Same here. Raised Catholic. Fell away from it in my 20s. Rampant mask stupidity most recently only solidified that. Suspect the diocese are getting funds for mask compliance - disgusting how they’ve all sold out their parishioners.
Been researching the Magdalene Laundries in 1950s/60s Ireland. Insane how the Catholic Church has exploited so many people over the decades.
Viganò is one of the few exceptions I’ve seen out there lately. As soon as the Covid restrictions hit, my hometown parish in upstate NY went full commie. Wish there were more willing to standup against the Vatican and assorted diocese.
They've set in the corruption deep from long ago- the good ones are good IN SPITE OF not because of the current church regime. I had hopes in some parishes who were named after, dedicated to, faithful servants of God, that they would stand firm because their namesakes did. Nope.
But others did surprise me, and now people are realizing more truth and thinking back about how things went. We continue to pray for awakening and for the will, for the fervent desire, to cleanse the Church thoroughly, and put in the framework to keep it clean, and train the next generation on what it takes to do so. Constant effort, for the evil one will still be out there, looking to tear us down.

A cleansing is needed, not an Exodus. Follow Abp Viganò.
