I saw a documentary type video on tapping. I started just doing it a bit for a certain issue and I have to say it actually does help disrupt negative thought patterns. It also can help disrupt pain signals for me.
I have used this successfully...for physical pain actually although I probably need it for emotional pain...yes that is what it does...repatterns thoughts associated with trauma...so the memories don't trigger the pain of the initial trauma...it was very successful with the Tutsi survivors (mostly children) in Africa who witnessed the murder of so many in the genocide...such trauma for them...as the article points out severe sexual abuse needs help with a practitioner...
Thanks for the video...I have seen/heard/read of Nicholas Ortner and his sister...have a book of theirs...but I will watch it...there are many videos online that show how to tap...with suggested set-ups and the different patterning sequences...the book I suggested is wonderful...very basic but very clearly written...

This is what I watched. I don't think this is a cure all, but another tool in the box to help with response and thought patterns.
