When my child was born they warned me that if it was necessary to take him to the intensive care unit he would need to get a covid shot. I countered that their own patient bill of rights states that a patient can never be forced to get anything against their will and since he was unable to make a decision it reverts to the parents. They called the head of the NICU in to try to steamroll me. She claimed they had had several babies with covid. I asked what cycle threshold they use on their tests and she had no idea!
I told her I would see them in court if they tried something against our wishes. Not that we had the resources to effectively go against a major hospital but I would have given it my best shot.
Because a surgical birth was necessary I was not able to be present and mom was unconscious so I told a cool nurse we needed her to go to bat for us and not allow any interventions at all: no vaccines, no vitamin shots, no eye cream, absolutely nothing whatsoever. As far as I know my instructions were followed perfectly. I know we were lucky to get an exceptional doctor/nurse/midwife team that day.
Yeah, the head of the NICU said to my face every patient that enters the neonatal intensive care unit must be vaccinated for covid-19. Obviously neonatal is babies so what the fuck. It was war in there.
Yep when I was diagnosed with Covid when I checked myself in cause thought I was having a heart attack (I wasn’t) I asked the same question, what was the cycle threshold they used to get that result. I actually had to explain the process. They looked at me like deer in the headlights. I wanted to yell “Are you Stupid or what!!!??

Good for you, and your baby! They can be persistent.

Good luck to you. It will be the most amazing thing ever I'm sure.
So happy to read your story, however, so fuckin sad to read that something like that too place in an American hospital
But unfortunately, not surprised
They are both doing great so I don't think that is the case. In fact we are having another one.
