This makes me mad. I have a young niece with a 5 yr daughter. She's in the reserve and may face this call up. Both she and her husband are both in the Army Reserve.
I'll admit I don't know very much about the military, I was just going off the name reserves. By definition, a layman would think they would be held in reserve to be called up when the main forces are almost exhausted...

Or they are to be folded into support positions so that the varsity can proceed with expeditionary operations.
