I have my stocks in a Vanguard brokerage account. Back in April I called Vanguard to DRS my shares. The 1st customer service person didn't know what I was talking about and connected me to another agent. When I told agent I wanted to DRS some shares he put me on hold to talk to his supervisor. A few minutes later he got back on with his supervisor listening in. He explained to me that there is no need to DRS. And how it wouldn't be in my best interest to do so.
It took me awhile but there is a link on the Vanguard site to DRS you just have to figure out what holding company is the one for your stock
You could always transfer some/all to a Fidelity account and DRS from there....so easy you can do it through their chat bot in seconds. Takes 2-3 days to settle at CS....
