True country music has gone downhill over the last twenty years. There's different layers or genres of country music most aren't played on the radio. Americana genre is more like outlaw country. Most Americana music isn't singer songwriter telling a story about real life. Less about trucks, drinking and women/cheating. I prefer this version over the crap on the radio.
