How many people in the US have seen Sound of Freedom??
GOOoOoooooooo!!!
We keep hearing about the money, but for public exposure isn't it more important how many people have seen it? So at 100 million $ at an average of $10/ ticket, that would come to 10 million people. Yes?
We need to get this to 100 million views.
Amazingly, a friend of mine is heading in to Seattle this morning, he called for me to check if it is still showing, he and his wife would be going. There are still 2 theaters showing SOF, four showings each IN DOWNTOWN SEATTLE! Not to mention all the major theaters surrounding Soviet Seattle. This is 19 days after the release. Some were questioning whether it would last through the weekend following Independence Day! Let the Great Awakening Continue!
I saw SOF last night for the second time. We ordered tickets that morning for a 6:35pm show and it was all sold out save for the first row. Two and a half weeks after release this movie is still selling out theaters 7 hours before showtime. This is in Texas, so definitely more favorable than Seattle. But still, what movie does that, anywhere?
Someone was interviewing Caviezel or Ballard (ICR) and they were talking about the fact that the numbers are actually picking up, which is opposite of what usually happens with a release. Typically the first weekend is the big money maker, and then it dwindles down.
Inneresting. A whole different kind of word of mouth.
I worked in restaurants and we were taught that bad word of mouth travels faster than good, so this is an encouraging sign!
Yes- Everything, every tool, can be used for good or evil.
A decent movie in terms of success is in theaters for 4-5 weeks. SoF is on that track.
