There were LOTS of pre-ticket sales for the first weekend of Barbie. Everyone thought that it was a light-hearted family event. Now that we know that was all bullshit, the pre-ticket sales and actually attendance SHOULD be disastrous for any future weekends.

I doubt it. I’ve seen the movie several times in theaters at this point, and audiences of all ages seem to LOVE it. The audience howled throughout the whole movie at all the jokes and sight gags. It features a very witty script and a lot of pure cinematic spectacle. Its design is pretty astonishing, honestly. This movie is gonna be a critical and commercial juggernaut at least for the rest of the month…
