I stopped taking omeprazole after I realized that the side effects of omeprazole are equal to the symptoms for which I was taking it. So I quit taking it and voila! No more tummy troubles.

Yep, it's list of side effects reads like a list of GERD symptoms. And ranitidine caused cancer...so IVM seems like a preferable alternative.
