I think we are about to witness some very fast moves here in a couple of days and weeks. In Trump gets back in, he promised to dismantle the deep state. Ending a world government… if they play the alien card, then they might actually convince the world to unify against the non existent outside danger. Remember Ronald Reagan’s speech at the UN about this very topic.
Yep even way back then, Reagan was primed by whoever to prime the public to think in those terms.
Then a decade later we get Hollywood's Independence Day, with the climatic moment showcasing poor bastard everyman Joe six pack, one of the "useless eaters", nobly sacrificing and redeeming himself to society, in service of the government of course, to eliminate the alien threat.
