How is this divisive? Define "cult" for me. Then define any religion, as well as atheism. See the similarities?
A cult demands unapologetic belief in an idea or person, and usually includes rituals to affirm one's loyalty. Am I incorrect?
Then by your definition, Christianity is a cult. Atheism requires one to question everything.
Christianity as we are told it is and should be, is a cult. Faith in God, true faith in God, is not a cult. It is ok to ask questions in faith, but not in religion. I learned that the hard way.
