Are you implying that wind turbines cause fires? Oh, the horror. You are probably not too far off, but I bet the real culprit for the Canadian wild fires is due to intentional human activity, i.e., someone lit the fires intentionally. Look at the beginning of this summers outbreaks. It will show that a lot of the wildfires were started at the exact same time.
Plus, what's the big deal with wildfires? Heck, every now and then Mother Nature causes fires and then the floor of the forest is rejuvenitated by the burning of detritius. Lots of good fertilizer from the ash, so Mother Nature is just getting rid of the old for a new clean slate for the new. Let it burn and if you are unlucky enough to have built a structure with trees nearby, well.......sorry for your location choices.
Wind turbines are placed on hills for maximum wind exposure. Arsonists wait for dry tinder and wind and then drop the match where it will cause most damage.
I think he's actually implying the governments are starting or allowing these fires to clear land or devalue land in order to get it later cheaper through eminent domain or to reduce eventual cost to clear it for their projects
I have a theory on the fires and the weather. The upper midwest was bone dry throughout most of May and June. I mean not a drop for weeks in the springtime. Weird.
And then the fires started. Now we have a high and a low trade places every couple days. With the dry weather, under a high the winds would blow to the northeast, blowing any smoke away from the US and out over Labrador towards the Atlantic. With the movement of these systems though you have an ability to pump that smoke south into the US.
Good find

No, implying that preparing to build wind turbines causes fires
