He didn't have too many details to tell me about the party except that it was for Joseph Decuis' which I grew up on the outskirts of Roanoke, IN. He was just excited and kept talking about the food lol I told him I remember when Joseph Decuis' was brought in to to town they had a billboard up saying they were only located in France, New York and then little ol' Roanoke IN. I told him there was some big time insurance company that came in to town and bought everything up, they even put in a B&B in. It was said they were wining and dining potential athletic clients, I told him maybe he will see someone famous. He said, man I should have asked for more money lol it was just a casual conversation and nothing else was said. Afterwards I trying to remember the name of the insurance company, so I looked up the location I remember it being at 15+ years ago, everything has changed and I found a State Farm there now. That wasn't what I remember being the name of the insurance agency being. Then I noticed the door next to it that is back and away that seems to go to nowhere, but has a Mason symbol on it. So, my mind started thinking; small town, big time restaurant, some type of private party that hired a small time DJ that doesn't even seem to know what the party is for, Mason symbols on a door that leads to nowhere... Then I remembered they recently expanded the road that goes from 469 to Roanoke. I used to live on that road, old time country with corn fields on all sides and now it's a dual lane road that leads straight to the interstate 69. Maybe I'm overthinking it, which is totally possible, but I just couldn't help but think about trafficking and how it could be any easy straight shot to a highway.
Also just remembered this morning, the insurance company name was American Specialty. It doesn't seem to be located in Roanoke anymore, but I see one in Fort Wayne, which made me think about how Roanoke is on US 24, midway between Fort Wayne and Huntington. Also, Airport expressway is near 469/69 as well

I wasn't sure where to share this info or if it was anything even worth looking into.
Thanks for the post! NE Indiana native here, had some casual friends in Roanoke. Appreciate hearing about this.
