Question: Does anybody know of a holistic way of healing a fatty liver. Not because of alcohol, because of a poor lifestyle. I have a family member that was given this diagnosis, and I’m looking for alternative ways to clear that up.
There are herbs for the liver, dandelion root, which you can brew as a tea, milk thistle, which comes in capsules, lots of fresh fruits and veggies, raw diet is good for that. Sauerkraut, naturally fermented in brine, requires refrigeration. And of all things, coffee. Eating organic is best, as you want to avoid chemicals because the liver sees them as toxins. Coffee is a bile stimulant and helps wash out the liver. There is a gall bladder flush that Hulda Clark reccomends and it is till available on line, it also flushes the liver of fat. I have done it many times when it was a problem for me, gall stones, and it works. I did it twice a year for a few years in my 50's, and healed. Fresh apples and apple cider also help. A weeks fast off of all fats, as many raw veggies and fruits as possible, gives the liver time to clean itself and rest from processing fats, but, we need fat, so only for a week, every 6 weeks. When you resume fat into your diet, extra virgin cold pressed olive oil and pastured butter only.The cabbage family is also excellent for the liver, which includes, kale, broccoli, collards, cabbages red and green, brussels sprouts. The Hulda Clark gall bladder flush works though, it is an ordeal, almost similiar to a colonoscopy prep, using epsom salts, lemon juice and olive oil. The details can be found on line. It requires two days off though, as the actual flush requires close proximity to the toilet.
Thanks for the information. Is the Hulda Clark Cleanse a pill, or is it stuff that you drink. I have one of her books, so I’m wondering if it’s something you have to make yourself or something you can purchase. If so, where did you purchase it?
This is some solid advice. Thank you.
Nothing special, it involves some fasting fat free, drinking an epsom salts solution, taken at intervals, topping it all off with a delicious (kidding) mixture of pure fresh lemon juice with olive oil straight up, washed down with another epsom salts chaser, going to bed, and laying on either your left or right side, I do not remember, whatever side the gall bladder is on, you lay so the mixture will flow into the ducts, waking up and one more dose salts, and shitting your brains out, eventually, the bowels are empty and you continue to pass gravel, maybe a few large stones, and what is called chaffe. You resume a good light diet for a few days after this. There should be no pain, as the magnesium in the epsom salts relax the ducts. Just a lot of bathroom time and commitment, the epsom salts are bitter and she suggests using a little lemon juice for that, and you can switch fresh grapefruit juice for lemon juice with the olive oil. A day after, you will feel great and clean inside.
🙏❤️
And also eat lots of citric acid. I know this from experience as I am having to help my husband through a liver problem as well.
lol I pretty much answered this in my previous comment just now
Basically cut down sugars, alcohol and carbs (and toxins in the form of processed food). Do intermittent fasting. And boom, you will be amazed how well the body can heal itself once you stop suffocating it with toxins.
Some good stuff: Turmeric, Matcha etc
Some good videos: Eric Berg Mark Hyman (start at 5 mins)
Liver = detox organ
Lifestyle = full of toxins
Go keto, avoid sugar and alcohol like the plague, somehow follow Zappa’s quote: « anything over a mouthful is wasted ». I will pray for your acquaintance.🙏🏻
Broccoli heals the liver.
I would try Oatmeal for breakfast every day, for a few weeks. (I see your comment that it's not a weight problem, but it's simple to try...)
Well, she happens to live with her sister who is a super health nut. And I mean super health nut.
So they have all kinds of organic food, and greens for breakfast. They have a different green for every day of the week. Yes, it’s true.
I will suggest to continue with the grain breakfast. They also do juicing, and protein powder shakes with fruit.
Her sister is super strict with food, and they all eat the same food in the house. So I’m not sure how you’re supposed to actually reverse a fatty liver
She’s not fat, she doesn’t smoke, she doesn’t drink alcohol, she’s eating healthy, Mediterranean diet, lots of fruits and vegetables, chicken, tuna, salmon. Minimal bread products. I’m just wondering if there’s other holistic medicines or supplements that will help detox or get fat off the liver.
Holy Foie Gras! While researching I saw several sites mention that 30% of Americans have fatty liver. But that doesn’t mean its normal. The thing is juicing and grinding stuff into powder increases the glycemic response. Fructose doesn’t raise blood glucose that much because it has to stop at the liver first. 😦 Also minerals like magnesium could be leeched out by “healthy” foods. Mg deficiency is linked to insulin resistance. I’ve been drinking the keto kool-aid lately. It pains me to say anything bad about someone who eats like that. I admit I eat too much junk, not enough greens. In a natural environment fruit isn’t usually available year round. We might do best changing diets seasonally.
I posted about oatmeal in this general chat. You might find it interesting. https://greatawakening.win/p/16bjA255mA/x/c/4TwQWc4gGqi
Thanks for your reply. I did read the oatmeal thread. Good info.
I would absolutely avoid grain and also anything containing flour unless you bake it yourself from organically grown seeds (e.g. "Spelt" wheat seeds and similar).
Most commercial biscuits, cakes and bread contain hydrogenated fat; your body can't digest this so it stores it in the liver.
Obviously avoid all "vegetable" oils, which are made from seeds. Most non-organic seeds contain traces of glyphosate and that can cause all sorts of problems.
You might look at the Obesity Code. I believe he talks about fatty liver. I know he definitely talks about insulin resistance. You should be able to read it for free on archive.org
First of all, I don’t know how to do that so you might have to give me instruction.
Also, my family member is, all of 122 pounds. She is not fat. Not at all.
So is obesity code, a person, a podcast, or just a topic? Explain it to me like I’m a kinder gardener.
I mentioned it as fatty liver can be linked to diabetes. Im sure you know that you can get diabetes no matter your weight.
Fatty liver can also be helped potentially by a Mediterranean type diet, Cole crop type vegetables, such as broccoli, brussel sprouts etc.. (cruciferous) and exercise.
In regard to the Obesity Code, breaking the insulin resistance cycle would help anyone. The fad of many small meals and snacking is a very bad thing. Your sugars/ insulin need time to cycle. Intermittent fasting is a better choice.
Obesity Code is a book (I believe he has other resources with it, like cookbooks, etc) by Dr. Fung.
Ah, sorry. Ok, https://archive.org is a free books, music, etc resource. You will have to make a free account. Scroll down past the wayback machine search to the next search bar and type in the title you want to look for or an author. If you aren't having any luck, try them by last, first.
