"RIGHT HERE" !!! Left ear - "Corked Shut" . Shower water sound's like heavy rain on a tin roof - on my old bald cranium !!! Noooooo friggin chance that i'm going to any doctor. They will cut off my right foot.
My advise. Go outside, take a walk in a garden. Leave the city for a couple of hours. Meditate it all helps. And if the sounds are still loud.. see if a message accompanies the sounds.
New floaters that come on suddenly may be a detached vitreous - or worse - a retinal detachment or tear, which would need immediate intervention to prevent blindness. I'd recommend a visit ASAP to an ophthalmologist to determine what is happening in your eyes.
Tinnitus can sometimes happen if your ear is not making sufficient wax and the ear is too dry inside. Has it been itching or uncomfortable? Have you felt compelled to use a Q-tip inside to get at that itch?
If so, try adding a drop or two of castor oil, vitamin E, jojoba, almond oil, or similar into the ear canal. Stick your little finger in your ear (fits perfectly) and rub the oil around inside the ear canal and outer canal. This sometimes can provide immediate relief. Any excess oil that drips out can be used to spread on face or neck as a moisturizer.
If the sensation becomes worse, go see an Ear Nose and Throat doc to see if they spy anything important, such as an infection, rupture, foreign object or ear wax blockage.
Also, tinnitus often is considered an early symptom of the onset of hearing loss. If your ENT doc finds nothing, getting hearing aids might be your next consideration.
Costco's house brand is quite good. Call and get an appt with their in-house audiologist to find out if your loss is bad enough to do something about.
