Other problems: Weight - the batteries are heavy regardless of whether charged or not (unlike a tank of gas which gets lighter, and weighs less even full). Teslas have batteries around 500kg - compare to a 100ltr tank which weighs about 100kg Tyre wear - due to weight, see above, you will need more tyres, and brakes potentially too. Cost to charge - it's nearing parity with diesel in Europe where energy costs are high, and that is a home charge. In a station its double the cost and you have to wait for hours. no free heat - the EVs are going to burn through the charge in the cold too (and that also affects battery life) if you want a heater on (air con similar if hot) Cost of replacement battery - after 8 years you will need to replace, making the car a write-off almost due to the staggering cost of a replacement.
Environmental costs - the battery and additional metals needed make the EV have the environmental cost of an ICE after it does 80k miles. So you need to run the EV for 8 years to reach parity with ICE (and then you need a new battery). Cost of the car - due to battery weight, many of the components have to be weight shaved and made from exotic materials to keep the overall weight sensible-ish Dumb-idiot factor - people will know you are a low-info mouth breathing idiot for buying it in the first place. Death-risk - locked in, locked out, broke down, burned down any of these problems can strike when you need the car, and that could kill you in extremis
