Scientists Connected Old Mice to Young Mice, And It Rejuvenated Them
In a bizarre experiment researchers from US and Russia connected the circulatory systems of young and old mice for a whole 12 weeks, slowing the older animals' cellular aging and increasing their lifespan by as much as 10 percent.
They are performing the same blood-swapping mouse trials that they did back in 2005, I believe. Back then, it revealed that taking the blood from an old, senile mouse who could not make it through the maze and swapping it with a young quick mouse who could run the maze had a transformative effect for both of them. It resulted in this:
The old mouse became rejuvenated and was now able to quickly run the maze. The young mouse became sickly and could no longer run the maze. They determined that an ingredient in the young blood which they named GDF11 (Growth Differentiation Factor 11) was the ingredient that made the difference. They determined it acted as a fountain of youth if given to an aging mouse. Old blood, on the other hand was severely damaging to the young mouse for which it never recovered.
Apparently, this 'Youth Hormone' is only produced in the young and starts fading off after the teenage years.
When I first read the original medical study about this 'blood swapping' or 'Parabiosis' horror back 18 years ago and knew then that if it translated to humans (it does) it would create a huge child blood slave industry where children would be kidnapped and kept for their blood.
Boy was I correct.
The worst kind of correct. 🐇😢
But what was the effect on the younger mice?
Plot twist the young mice all died shortly after being disconnected.
good question,.it would probably have the opposite reaction to the older mice,.really tho they should just leave nature the fuk alone,...
See my other comment here.
maybe they should connect sleepy joe to a young mice,.that way he might start nibbling on a piece of cheese instead of sniffing little girls hair"...
Uh, you know that he and the 'big dogs' all get these transfusions to help them. It is a big and nasty business that is why we have such a huge child trafficking problem.
