I live in Ohio and I'm absolutely disgusted that the rabid, disgusting left turned out in droves to set the stage via Issue 1 to enshrine abortion in our Constitution. I know we're waiting on "the plan" and Q, but quite frankly there is little to save when 60/40 vote to allow this. BIG GIANT FUCKING ASTEROID 2024. Rant over.

Preach brother!!!
I'm in Ohio and I cast a "No" vote. It was a tough call to align with the Democrats on this issue, but I considered the broader implications. What if there arises a necessity to amend the constitution in the future for those of us on the right side of history? That would demand a 60% majority, and blindly voting "Yes" might come back to haunt us. It's crucial to consider a wider range of matters beyond just abortion. While I share your discomfort with abortion, it's important to acknowledge that a "Yes" vote could have been detrimental for us. I have several friends who will side with republicans when it comes to the vote. They chose to vote no on Issue 1 because they realize the implications. They will however vote no on abortion as will I.
I will just have to agree to disagree with you fren. Over Half the states have a higher threshold. Its not a rare thing. And its the CONSTITUTION. There shouldn't be shit on the ballot twice a year trying to amend it. Its what our legislators are for: passing laws. Not a fan of this at all.
Actually only 11 states require more than a simple majority to approve a constitutional amendment. Ohio would have been the 12th. I had to do a lot of research and digging in order to come to my decision. I did not take it lightly.
I didn't take my vote lightly either. To each their own fren
This.
And issue 1 absolutely was about abortion. Its why they turned out in droves to vote against issue 1. Its why abortion will soon be on the ballot now, because issue 1 failed.
Abortion will need to be voted down, just like any other law. That is fair.
Needing 60% to amend the constitution is not fair. As a matter of fact, its stupid. You are being selfish, and only thinking of your parties domination on a single issue. How sad.
Politicians dont give a fuck about you. They crave money and power, and you voted to give it to them like a sheep. Wake the fuck up, Ohio man.
Ohio did what it always does, uses abortion as a strawman. Kasich did it, all the RINOs do it. The sheep fall for it.
You are playing checkers and not chess. Ohio did not lose a piece. Ohio avoided a trap.
And it won't be voted down. Oh well kill babies I guess. The current political system is what Q is trying to destroy. Of course politicians dont give a fuck about us. If its ever fixed maybe we can have an actual Republic. We dont have a democracy.
"It wont be voted down" "We dont have a democracy."
Based on your logic, how could we have voted "Yes" on Issue 1? Either the system works or it doesn't.
Tendie, i know you are a female. This is not meant as a sexist post. Its just an observation, the most rabid defenders of abortion are female: feminists, land whales and lesbians. I just don't get it. More than half the states have a higher threshold than Ohio to change the constitution. Its also why the left cant willy nilly change the us constitution, or the would have already. My post and take on this matter is not retarded. Its why every election season a bunch of leftist retards with clipboards make their rounds, trying to get shit on the ballot circumventing the elected legislative process. And yes, this state is one of the absolute worst infested with rino scum.
