I am unsure of the details but I am pretty sure there is a path for felons to be able to restore their 2nd amendment rights.
I know they can petition to get their voting rights back but I've never heard of anyone getting their 2A rights back.
Besides, it shouldn't be an onerous process to restore a Constitutional right.
