Found a simple viewer-friendly video (Why Laser Weapons are About to Change Everything) from 9 days ago that goes over some of the simpler systems.

There was also the wiki page (Boeing YAL-1) with a much larger aperture & power system than is seen on the tanks / fighter aircraft. Interesting stuff
