We had a fire close to me and it burned the leaves off the trees. Not sure if it killed the trees yet.
Winner winner. Live trees are full of water and take a long time under sustained high heat to burn. Its why we "season" our firewood.
SHHHH do you mind, I prefer my death star space lazers fantasy, I don't want to understand tree physics
That is simple. The elites liked those trees.
Lol
All of those circled areas look to be open park-like areas or parking lots. Even though Lahaina is on the leeward, or dry side of the island it still had a lot of trees in town. I would guess a tree's survive-ability would depend on how close it was to flammable structures and not some imaginary space weapon.
I live in FL where we often get fires and do controlled burns. If you think a fire demolish all trees in it's path I have a bridge to sell you.
When you put a piece of wood in the microwave, It does heat up, very slowly, when you put a piece of treated wood in the microwave, it heats up many times faster, when you put a piece of metal (steel, aluminum, or other ) it ignites, sparks, whatever. When you put the 2 together, you have a fire! Think about it!
